Hot Cinnamon Apples

Makes 8 servings; 1/2 cup each serving

INGREDIENTS


  • 2 large apples
  • 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 Tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

DIRECTIONS


  1. Wash your hands well with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds.
  2. Wash and core apple with a spoon. Slice to 1/2 inch.
  3. Heat large cast iron skillet on medium heat. 
  4. Add oil and apple slices to skillet and sauté 5 minutes.
  5. Combine sugar, cinnamon and salt in a small bowl and sprinkle over apples and sauté until tender about 10 more minutes. 
  6. Refrigerate leftovers within 2 hours.
