Easy Baked Pears

Makes 8 servings; 1 quarter each serving

INGREDIENTS


  • 2 pears, ripe
  • 1 Tablespoon dried cranberries, reduced sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts, optional
  • 1 Tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

DIRECTIONS


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Wash your hands well with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds.
  3. Wash pears.  Cut in half lengthwise. Cut stem tops and remove seeds with a spoon. Place the pears in a baking dish.
  4. Fill center with dried cranberries and walnuts and drizzle honey over each pear.
  5. Sprinkle each pear half with cinnamon.
  6. Bake for 25-30 or until pears are soft when pierced with a fork.  Serve warm.
  7. Refrigerate any leftovers within 2 hours.
